HTC One M9 Software Modified problem

Hi,

I recently bought an HTC One M9 from eBay (UK on the EE network), and to start with everything was fine, but then I made the mistake of starting the phone whilst it had a generic power lead attached to it, rather than the one that came with the phone. I'm now getting a software modified message when starting the phone (also has a "S-ON" message and a "Security Warning" message too). I've seen some fixes for this on some forums on this site, but I have no rooting or hex editing experience, so just wondered if there is a simpler fix for this. I'm prepared to reset the phone if necessary, but am worried about "bricking" the phone by messing about with the system. Is there a simpler way?

Thanks.
