The Xiaomi Mi MIX can be credited for bringing kickstarting bezel-less designs last year, after Sharp's attempts at going minimal bezels failed to gather any market traction. While the Mi MIX also did not become Xiaomi's hottest seller, it did generate enough attention and sales for Xiaomi to consider a second generation of the device. The new Mi MIX 2 will be officially unveiled on September 11, and it seems Xiaomi has one more phone up its sleeve for the event.
The Xiaomi Mi Note 3 has been teased by Xiaomi co-founder, Mr. Lin Bin on his Weibo account. Mr. Bin asked his Weibo followers if they want the Mi MIX 2, or a larger version of the Mi 6. This question is followed by teasers of the Mi Note 3.
Unverified rumors for the Mi Note 3 indicate that the phone will be a larger version of the Mi 6 in terms of design, but will sport better specifications. The display is said to be a Samsung-made Super AMOLED display with QHD resolution. The phone could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835, and come with 6GB of RAM in its base variant. That said, our confidence on these rumors are low as they have not been corroborated despite being so close to the device launch. In any case, we will find out more about the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 and the Xiaomi Mi Note 3 within the next few days.
