In a collaboration between CompareRaja and known leaker OnLeaks, the Sony Xperia XZ3 has had renders leaked. It features a glass back and no headphone jack, but interestingly, it also goes against past leaks. There does not appear to be dual cameras on the back, as a leak only a few weeks ago suggested. It's possible that we saw an entirely different device instead, but it's more likely that we saw an EVT device. An EVT device is used for checking for major flaws or needed changes. It could be that Sony ran into problems with the dual camera setup and decided to go with a single module. Either way, we now know exactly what the device will look like.
The design is basically the same as what we saw before, except it features a single camera module on the glass-coated back instead. Above the camera sensor is an LED flash and below it is a fingerprint sensor. Sadly, there is no headphone jack present. The Sony Xperia XZ2 marked yet another flagship series to deviate from its inclusion, instead opting for Bluetooth or USB-C audio. Sony hasn't gone back on their decision. The device measures 158.3 x 73.08 x 9.9/10.1 mm. The display has an 18:9 aspect ratio. There's a number of other renders too, which are made fully in color.
We should expect to see the Sony Xperia XZ3 come IFA 2018 in Berlin. It takes place from August 31st to September 5th. Being the latest flagship from the company, we can only expect the latest and greatest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. Other specifications are up in the air, and we all know what to expect from new flagships being released. Anywhere from 4GB to 6GB of RAM, possible water resistance like previous models, and storage somewhere in the range of 64GB to 128GB.
