New Leak Seems To Have Revealed Specifications Of The Galaxy S8+

Samsung's upcoming flagship has been making a lot of buzz around the web as its release date approaches. After the Galaxy Note 7's mashup, all eyes are now on Samsung's next big thing, the Galaxy S8.

Thanks to a series of rumors and leaks so far, not much has now remained unknown about the Galaxy S8 at this point. Earlier rumors have shown that there will be two smartphones: the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+, and that the Galaxy S8 will sport 5.7-inch screen while its bigger sibling, the Galaxy S8 Plus, will feature a 6.2-inch screen.

Now, a new leak by Evan Blass adds some value to the previous rumors. Evan Blass has shared an image on his Twitter account which claims to reveal most of the specifications of the Galaxy S8+.

As per the leaked image, the Galaxy S8+, the physically bigger variant of the Galaxy S8, will sport a 6.2-inch — 6.1-inch when factoring in the corners — QHD+ Super AMOLED display, 12MP Dual Pixel rear camera and 8MP front shooter, 4GB RAM with 64GB onboard storage, iris scanner, Samsung Pay and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The leak also shows the Galaxy S8+ will have a waterproof design, Samsung Knox security suite, and Wireless charging. While the leak doesn't reveal which SoC will be powering the device, it's believed that the both devices will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC and perhaps the new Exynos 9 for international markets.

Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ at the end of March so we're still a month away before we learn more about Samsung's upcoming flagships for 2017.
