Fitbit sells some of the most popular fitness wearables on the market right now. Software is a big reason why people choose its devices over others, and one of the most popular features is a step notification that alerts you when you fall short of your daily goal. The Xiaomi Huami Amazfit activity tracker doesn't offer this natively, so XDA Recognized Contributor Quinny899 stepped up (so to speak) and created an application called Step Notify. It, much like Fitbit's step notifications, reminds you to walk a certain number of steps (250) each hour by popping up an alert at 10 to the hour (between 9:50 and 17:50 by default). Step Notify also has a number of customization options that let you tailor the experience to your fitness goals:
- You can choose times to show (any ":50" in the day is available — the default is 9:50 – 17:50)
- You choose days to show (every day is enabled by)
- You can disable vibration (it's enabled by default)
Step Notify is available on the XDA forums in the form of an APK that's installed via the Android Debug Bridge (ADB). Check the source link for installation instructions.
