If you've used a Google Home before, you probably know how frustrating it can be when the speaker misses commands because you're out of range. Outfitting your house with multiple Google Home devices is the ideal solution, but it used to be expensive — the original Google Home cost $129. Google launched the smaller Google Home Mini as a cost-saving solution, and for people without a convenient spot on the table for it, Incipio has the perfect product: A Google Home Mini wall mount.
Incipio's wall mount, which runs about $15, makes it easy to affix a Mini to almost any vertical surface. The retail packaging includes all the screws, 3M tape, and drywall anchors you need to secure it to the wall of any room.
The idea is to mount a Google Home Mini on the wall instead of having it clutter up your desk, countertop, or side tables. As of right now, the wall mount only comes in one color — white — but it's subtle enough that it's hard to spot when a Google Home Mini is attached to it.
One of Google's design goals for its new hardware division was to make its devices as neutral as possible. We've seen the company use clothes-like fabric materials on the Google Home, Google Home Mini, Google Home Max, Pixel 2 cases, and the Daydream View headset, and the Google Home Mini is no different. The search giant wanted it to blend in with almost any decor, and went as far as to create multiple colors of Google Home Mini and different color bases for the standard Google Home. That's probably why it doesn't look as bad as you might expect mounted to a wall, though you're on your own where the power cord is concerned.
If Incipio's Home Mini wall mount has your interest piqued, it's available for purchase in the Google Store.
