This is regarding Samsung removing the option to choose "Open once", instead of the app you choose being set to default right away.
Seems they've fixed this issue in the June patch (ref. this post), but is there a way to do this without upgrading and without flashing a custom ROM? I'm rooted on stock rom with TWRP recovery, but right now I don't really want to experiment too much on my phone. It's summer, vacation, travels, etc.
Is there a file I could flash in recovery to enable this option easily? Or is the only way to do this to upgrade or install custom ROM?
If not I guess I'll wait a bit and then look for a good custom ROM. :)
