CMTE on Stock ROM?

I noticed that devs have managed to include CMTE in recent builds of Pure Nexus. I'm not too knowledgeable about this sort of thing, so what's the chance that this can/will be ported to work on stock? I did a quick search and couldn't find anything. I thought Pure Nexus was also based off AOSP?
