Reuse or throw away

I've got a Galaxy tab 10.1 and I'm wondering if i just should throw it away or reuse it to something else?
Is there any alternate os that actualy works?
is it realy worth it to use it as a extra screen for the pc?

any suggestions would be apreciated :)

it would be nice too if you could reason for why I should do whatever you suggests :)
